About the event

Description

The purpose of this course is to describe the overall role of the Chief Product Owner with a focus on one of the most important aspects... delivering strategic outcomes.  This Scrum@Scale class begins with an overview of the Chief Product Owner role.  It includes a discussion on outcomes versus outputs as a measure of success. The course discusses the elements of a well-defined strategy, along with how each element is part of achieving the desired results. We will examine techniques to analyze the outputs necessary to attain desired outcomes.  The course also covers how to create the right metrics for monitoring progress and the techniques for defining goals and targets to take the emotion out of decision making.  The course will also explore the use of data analysis to validate the success of the outcomes delivered.

During the class, students will apply these skills to diagram a desired outcome, develop an approach for attaining the outcome, and develop an action plan to validate the approach.  Students will leave the classroom with an action plan to implement the techniques discussed.

The course is intended to be highly interactive; students will be encouraged to interject their challenges and concerns for discussion and redress during the session.

After leaving this class, students will be able to apply agile analysis techniques, including decomposition horizontal and vertical analysis.

This course is intended for those who wish to know the details of the appropriate activities of the Chief Product Owner role when working with multiple teams.
