About the event
Students will learn to be a facilitator and coach who implements Scrum in a way that drives quick business outcomes in a changing market while enriching personal and team performance. We will start the course by organizing into Scrum teams. You’ll be able to experience the Scrum Master role by taking part in games and exercises firsthand. While in your Scrum team, students will create a product backlog, prioritize it, and manage a burndown chart.
Objectives
By the end of the Licensed Scrum Master Course students will be able to:
- Understand the Scrum Framework and its origins
- Understand the roles within a Scrum team and its characteristics
- Practice the role of Scrum Master
- Explain what servant leadership is and how to create an environment for Scrum to succeed
- Explain the Scrum Events
- Explain Backlog and Backlog Refinement
- Describe the Lean principles
- Recognize the components of the Agile Manifesto
- Practice the patterns of a high performing team
- Complete Scrum Master by Scrum Inc. exam
- The course is intended to be highly interactive; students will be encouraged to interject their challenges and concerns for discussion and redress during the session.
- This course is intended for students to apply skills to lead teams as a Scrum Master in all industries, assess performance using real world examples, depict the Scrum values of Focus, Courage, Commitment, Openness and Respect, and identify course corrections. Students will leave the classroom with an action plan to implement the techniques discussed.
- This course is intended for those who wish to know the details of the appropriate activities of a Scrum Master when working with teams.
